AAP protest demanding the arrest of Minister Eshwarappa

Must read

Hundreds of workers of the Aam Aadmi Party held a massive demonstration from Shivananda Circle Bengaluru demanding the arrest of minister Eshwarappa in connection with the death of contractor Santosh Patil.
In the demonstration, angry leaders and workers of A A P shouted slogans against minister Eshwarappa and the state government. While the A A P leaders and workers were marching to lay siege to the Chief Minister’s residence- Kumarakrupa, the Police arrested them midway and took them to High Grounds police station.
Speaking to the media on the same occasion, Mohan Dasari, A A P Bengaluru president, said, “If Santosh Patil, who dared to raise his voice against injustice, should get justice, then minister Eshwarappa should be arrested immediately. Eshwarappa is an influential minister in the state cabinet and if he is not arrested immediately, there is a clear possibility of him destroying the evidence. Instead of arresting the accused Eshwarappa, the action of the Police to arrest Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers is condemnable.”
“Though the death note clearly states that the cause of suicide is Eshwarappa, he has not been arrested yet. If the minister is not held, it will send a wrong message to the society indicating that the minister has a separate law than the common man. Impartial probe of the case is not possible without the ouster of Eshwarappa from the cabinet,” Mohan Dasari added.
The Aam Aadmi Party leaders such as Jagadish V Sadam, Channappa Gowda Nellooru, Kushala Swamy, Usha Mohan, Prakash Nedungadi, Nanjappa Kalegowda, Gopinath, Kudrath, Jagadish Babu, Abbas and others were present in the protest march along with party workers and citizens.
