The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to provide training to intermediate pass youths residing near wildlife sanctuaries, including Katarnia Ghat Sanctuary, Dudhwa National Park, and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, to become tourist guides. The initiative aims to create job opportunities for local youths, and the Tourism Department will cover the training expenses. Jaiveer Singh, the State Tourism and Culture Minister, mentioned that the training would equip local youths to become skilled guides proficient in both English and Hindi. The training program will also include imparting knowledge about the sanctuary, its flora and fauna, and ensuring they can assist tourists in a safe and informative manner. The initiative not only supports local employment but also enhances the overall tourism experience for visitors to the sanctuaries.
