During a progress review meeting, M C Sudhakar, Chikkballapur district incharge minister, announced that ₹8.94 crore has been released for development works in Chintamani taluk to support ongoing projects and welfare activities. Speaking at the meeting held at the local mini hall, Sudhakar emphasized that the funds aim to ensure timely and efficient implementation of various development schemes, benefiting workers and the community at large.

He instructed officials to gather detailed data on beneficiaries under schemes such as Gruha Lakshmi, especially those who had previously missed out due to NPCI failures, and to update records in the e-KYC system. Family heads who had passed away should have other members designated to continue receiving benefits. Sudhakar also directed measures to ensure that subsidized rice under the Anna Bhagya scheme is not misused or sold in open markets.

The meeting highlighted the establishment of new revenue villages, including Hatti, Hadi, and Lambani Tandas, with proposals submitted for fair-price shop approvals. Deputy Chairperson D. N. Mailarappa noted that the Shakti scheme has been particularly effective, and the opening of KSRTC depots in Holalkere and Molkalmuru would enhance its impact.

District Panchayat CEO Dr. S. Akash observed that for the first time in 2024-25, the number of girls attending college has increased significantly, a direct outcome of the Shakti initiative. Preparations are underway to document success stories of beneficiaries on video by October 22, and a camp for various departmental officials to interact with beneficiaries will be organized by October 30. Over the past two years, Chintamani taluk has received ₹3,000 crore in funds under the Panch-Garanti schemes, with the latest disbursement of ₹8.94 crore marking another step in the taluk’s development efforts.

Key attendees included Bhuninaramanappa, Laxman Naramanappa, Tehsildar Sudhapan Yadav, S. Anand, and other committee members and officials overseeing the Panch-Garanti programs.
