Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal officially opened a newly constructed three-lane flyover at Sarai Kale Khan. In his address at the inauguration ceremony, Kejriwal emphasized that this flyover would significantly alleviate traffic congestion in and around the Ashram and Moolchand areas. Highlighting the positive impact of this infrastructure development, Kejriwal noted that there are no traffic signals on the entire ring road, and the Sarai Kale Khan flyover would contribute to making this location congestion-free. Additionally, the Chief Minister proudly shared that his government has achieved a cost-saving of Rs 557 crore in the construction of 30 flyovers over the last five years. He suggested that this remarkable feat should be recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records. Public Works Department Minister Atishi, speaking at the event, underscored the transformation of the region between Ashram and Sarai Kale Khan facilitated by the Delhi government. The newly inaugurated Sarai Kale Khan flyover, measuring 620 meters in length, was initially sanctioned at Rs 66 crore, but it was completed within the budget of Rs 50 crore. The flyover features three lanes, ramps, stilt portions, and loops for U-turns, and it aims to provide a signal-free route between Southeast Delhi and ITO.
