Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, visited the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, unveiling two significant initiatives to enhance the pilgrimage experience. The first initiative, the Live Darshan Facility, can now be accessed via the official website of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (www.maavaishnodevi.org). This feature allows devotees to witness a live view of the shrine, offering a virtual connection to this sacred site. In addition, a bilingual interactive chatbot, named ‘Shakti,’ has been developed for the official website. ‘Shakti’ serves as a 24×7 virtual assistant to address queries and grievances from pilgrims, providing authentic information on the services and facilities offered by the shrine board. To complement these developments, a Yatra Guide Book titled ‘The Bhakti of Shakti,’ published by Rupa Publications, was unveiled during the visit. These innovative offerings are designed to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience and provide valuable information for devotees to plan their visits in advance. The chatbot also offers video and audio content for pilgrim awareness and shares the latest updates related to the Holy Shrine. These technological advancements aim to assist and facilitate the growing number of devotees who visit the shrine each month.
