Mysuru

The Maharaja   has made the whole world look at Mysuru by continuing the Dasara tradition which had been celebrated by the Vijayanagar Empire, Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Tourism HK Patil said. Dasara, the festival of Kannada territory, is not limited to Mysuru or territory,  it is famous throughout the world.  Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and District In-charge Minister Dr HC Mahadevappa are very concerned about celebrations and are working hard to make it a grand success. There are a total of 25,000 heritage buildings and monuments in the state. Of these, 500 to 600 heritage buildings have been identified by the Government. Another 500 heritage buildings are being identified and a plan is being prepared to preserve them. The Government cannot unite all the heritage buildings and monuments. He said that it requires the love and cooperation of the common people, he said. If there are heritage buildings and monuments in your town, you have the right to protect such monuments and can be adopted and protected. He said the state government had launched the Adopt Our Monuments Programme to encourage people to protect such buildings and it was going well. I have discussed the adoption of heritage buildings through online zoom meeting with Non-Resident Indians in the US. Due to this, about 20 Non-Resident Indians have promised to adopt and preserve the heritage buildings.
