Death Due To Stabbing, Two Of Shivamogga Origin Arrested

Police arrested two accused from Bengaluru in connection with stabbing death incident that occurred in the city on the evening of Sunday.

Raghavendra alias Buns Raghu (42) died after he was stabbed near Delhi Bazaar near post office on Chicken Saal Road here.

Many rumours were rife after the incident that Raghavendra knew the assailants and some enmity in finance dealing was highlighted as the cause of stabbing. However, it has come to light that the killers were not known to the deceased at all. It is known during interrogation that a trivial issue of the cars of Raghavendra and the accused brushing against each other ended up in murder.

A Wagon R car that was arriving from Sangam theatre side and car of Raghu brushed each other. The matter that would have been resolved amicably ended up in murder. Initially, blows were exchanged between the Raghavendra and the accused. Locals intervened and the matter went to the point of getting resolved. However, one of the accused took out a knife and stabbed Raghu on his thigh in a fit of rage.

The accused are from Shivamogga. One of them faces more than eight criminal cases. He carries a knife all the time. It has come to light that he stabbed a person in a similar accident that occurred at Agumbe Ghat some time ago.

One of the accused is married to a woman from the city. He is said to be habitual gambler. On September 29, he had come to Kundapur and was residing in a lodge. It is said that both accused has gambled in a house near Koni and were returning back to lodge when their car got brushed against that of Raghavendra.

The Superintendent of Police  formed three separate teams to nab the culprits. The teams were led by DySP Belliappa, Circle Inspectr  Nandakumar and Brahmavar Circle Inspector PM Divakar.
