The devastating incident occurred as the car, en route from Mysore Road to Kanakapura Road, lost control and collided with a lorry before striking the culvert wall. The impact of the collision led to the car catching fire, claiming the lives of the mother and child on board. The ill-fated vehicle carried four members of the same family, including a couple and their two children, as they journeyed from Mysore Road to Kanakapura Road. The couple has been identified as Mahendran and Sindhu. Preliminary reports suggest that the accident transpired around 4 o’clock in the morning at Nidre Manpar.
