Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated a free mass wedding celebration program on behalf of Sri Male Mahadeshwara Kshetra Development Authority at the Male Mahadeshwara hill theater premises.

In the next five years, we will develop the Male Mahadeshwara hill comprehensively, poor people should not get married according to their means, they should develop the tendency to get married in a simple manner in the next generation, they should not spend a lot of money on marriage, he said. Work should be done to maintain the cleanliness of the Male Mahadeshwara hill, and drinking water, bathroom, toilets and other basic facilities should be provided for the pilgrims. He said that it should be mandatory.
MLA MR Manjunath said that Hanur Constituency is geographically large and basic facilities like electricity, road and other facilities should be provided. Last time when you became Chief Minister, you had announced Hanur Taluk but no taluk level development work was done. Again, when you were the Chief Minister, grant should be given for administrative building and 100 bed hospital in the Taluk. And requested that a special grant should be announced for Soliga and Bedagampana ethnic groups around Male Mahadeshwara area.
 Shivratri Desikendra Swamiji spoke and blessed the newly married couples. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has successfully implemented many people friendly programmes  and only some of them are doing what they say but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is doing what he said.

Kollegala MLA AR Krishnamurthy, MLC Marithibbegowda, Tibbegowda, Chamarajanagar  MLA Puttarangashetty, Gundlupet MLA HM Ganesh Prasad, Male Mahadeshwara Hill Village Panchayat President Archana, Male Mahadeshwara Hill Development Authority Secretary Saraswati, Deputy Commissioner Shilpanag, Superintendent of Police Padmini Sahu and other department officials were present.
