In the wake of the name of Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt cropping up in the Chaitra Kundapura fraud case, he has clarified that he is not involved in the case. He also demanded that the CCB officials should prima facie clarify what happened in the case as it appears to be part of a conspiracy.
Former Hindu leader Satyajit Surathkal called me in July and said that your name is there in the case. It is heard that Govinda Babu Poojary has given you Rs 1.5 crore. He told me to return the money. I replied, he angrily said that I am not in this case and then cut the phone. Later, I called up VHP leader Sharan and Bajrang Dal leaders and enquired about it. Then he told me not to get angry if you don’t know about it. After this, Satyajit Surathkal called again and said, I have wrongly mentioned your name. He said he knew it was Abhinava Swamiji.
After that, I also called Abhinava Swamiji and enquired about it. Later, I spoke to Sulibele Chakravarthy, a close associate of Abhinava Swamiji. Sulibele Chakraborty had jokingly asked me if my name was also there in the case. He also said that he had spoken to former Minister C T Ravi in this regard. After that, I called Chaitra Kundapura and enquired about it. I had written the backbone for the book Premapasha written by Chaitra Kundapura and knew her. When he was questioned, he said he was not involved in the case. Former minister Sunil Kumar’s name cropped up in the case. Now my name is being heard. I request CCB to make an announcement on the prima facie findings, he said.
