During a press conference in Brussels, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is currently visiting Europe, reiterated the party’s stance on Article 370, emphasizing the importance of allowing every voice in India to be heard and people to express themselves freely.

Rahul Gandhi stated: Our position on Article 370 is very clear. It’s in a resolution passed in the CWC. We are for ensuring that every single person in our country has a voice and is allowed to express themselves. We feel very strongly that Kashmir should develop, Kashmir should progress, and there should be peace in Kashmir.

Responding to questions about India’s relationships with Russia and the United States, he emphasized that India has the right to have relationships with multiple countries, given its status as a large nation.

When questioned about the opposition’s perspective on the Russia-Ukraine war, Rahul Gandhi indicated that the opposition largely aligns with the government’s position due to India’s existing relationship with Russia.

He explained that his overseas travels involve meeting with various individuals in Europe and the Indian diaspora, engaging in conversations, and exchanging ideas about India’s challenges, economic issues, democratic institutions, and global transitions.

Rahul Gandhi also touched on India hosting the G20 summit, stating that it’s an important conversation, and while issues in India are raised, the framing of whether they are given free passage is not entirely accurate.

During his visit to Europe, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit France, the Netherlands, and Norway, participating in interactive programs and meeting with businessmen and the diaspora. His visit aims to foster dialogue and cooperation between India and European nations.
