Popular actress Aindritha Rai has lodged a formal complaint on Twitter with the Bengaluru city police, alleging that a lorry was transporting cow meat, horns, and bones. Rai’s tweet, accompanied by a video showing a truck laden with cow waste, calls for immediate legal action against those responsible. The actress tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bangalore Police Commissioner, and South East Division DCP in her social media post. In response to these allegations, South East Division DCP CK Baba has clarified the nature of the cargo in question. He affirmed that the substance in the truck was not cow meat waste, as initially claimed by Rai. The contents of the truck were meticulously examined, and it was determined that they did not consist of cow meat waste. Instead, the materials found included bones, horns, and skin, none of which were identified as cow-related. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) also provided their perspective on the matter, asserting that the discovered waste was associated with the slaughterhouse of the East Division. These materials, categorized as meat waste, were indeed being transported in the trucks. While it was initially alleged to be cow meat waste, the clarification from both BBMP and the South East Division DCP appears to dispel these claims. Aindritha Rai’s frustration with the situation was evident in her tweet, where she accused the police of being reluctant to take action regarding the shipment. She alleged that the authorities refused to conduct a thorough investigation and declined to register an FIR. This incident has ignited a heated controversy, with the public eagerly awaiting further developments and clarifications on the matter.
