Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has made an impressive debut as a director with his series The Bads of Bollywood. The show has received widespread acclaim, with social media abuzz over standout moments, star-studded cameos, and strong performances by Raghav Juyal, Lakshya, and Manoj Pahwa. Following the series’ phenomenal success, Aryan shared a heartfelt note of gratitude to audiences for their overwhelming support.
Whenever things got tough, I’d hear Jaraj’s voice in my head: ‘Haarne mein aur haar maanne mein bohot farak hota hai.’ At first, I thought it was motivation—but maybe it was just exhaustion. Still, that vision kept me going, Aryan said. To now see how much joy the show has brought to people… it’s emotional. This is why I tell stories—it’s what draws me to filmmaking.
He expressed his amazement at the show’s global impact, saying, The love from around the world has been incredible. What started as my story now belongs to the audience. And it’s only thanks to Netflix that this story could reach homes everywhere. As Jaraj would say… Ab pehchaana?
Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, called the response phenomenal, highlighting how fans are turning moments from the show into memes, theories, and tributes. Aryan Khan has captured what makes Bollywood eternal—its emotion and dreams—while offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes, she added.
The series is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and created by Aryan Khan, alongside co-creators and writers Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan.
