In a disturbing incident that unfolded in the heart of Bengaluru, a young man named Ajith fell victim to a violent stabbing during a heated dispute concerning the positioning of a Ganesha idol. The attacker, identified as Suman, reportedly launched the assault on his acquaintance Ajith, resulting in multiple stab wounds to Ajith’s chest, neck, and back. The shocking altercation transpired near the Dharmaraya Swamy Temple, under the jurisdiction of Halasuru Gate Police Station. The unfortunate incident occurred late in the evening, around eleven o’clock, when Ajith and Suman crossed paths. The aggressor, Suman, allegedly carried out the attack during their encounter. Swift action was taken following the stabbing, with Ajith promptly being rushed to Victoria Hospital to receive medical attention for his injuries. Meanwhile, Suman was apprehended by the Halasuru Gate Police, who have initiated a formal investigation into the incident and registered a case against the accused. In a separate incident demonstrating the ongoing challenges of security and safety, a daring extortion attempt was thwarted by the vigilant police force in Mysore. A couple, identified as Viresh and Priyanka, intruded into the home of a gold dealer and his wife under the pretense of delivering an invitation card. Armed with a knife, the couple attempted to extort money from the victims, Baburao and Kamalabai. The incident, which transpired on August 16 in the Hootagalli KHB Colony of Mysore, saw the assailants threatening the victims with a knife in their bid for monetary gain. The police from the Vijayanagar police station took swift action, registering a case and initiating a thorough investigation that led to the arrest of the culprits. The police unraveled a shocking motive during their probe, discovering that Viresh had accrued substantial debts due to his involvement in online gambling. The accused had apparently conspired to extort the victims in a desperate attempt to repay his debts. As the legal proceedings progress, the police have successfully apprehended the suspects and presented them before the court.
