In light of the ongoing holy month of ‘Sawan’, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced several initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women in the state. The Ladli Behna scheme, which provides financial aid to women, has been raised from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250 per month. Additionally, the Chief Minister announced a significant step towards gender equality by introducing a 35% reservation for women in government jobs. Furthermore, the government is taking measures to make cooking facilities more accessible to women by providing gas cylinders at a reduced cost of Rs 450. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to promoting the well-being and empowerment of women in Madhya Pradesh.
