Shubman Gill Climbs To Fourth Position In ICC ODI Rankings

Indian batsman Shubman Gill has moved up one spot to secure the fourth position in the ICC rankings for ODI batters. In the recent ODI rankings released by the ICC after the first ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Gill has attained a total of 743 rating points, making him India’s top-ranked batter. Jasprit Bumrah, the returning pacer who captained India in the Ireland series, has experienced a significant improvement by moving up seven places to reach the 84th position. Meanwhile, spinner Ravi Bishnoi has made remarkable progress, climbing 17 spots to secure the 65th position in the rankings. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s performance in the second T20I against Ireland, where he scored 58 runs, led to a significant leap of 143 places for him, taking him to the 87th position. In the T20I rankings for batters, Suryakumar Yadav remains on the top spot despite missing the Ireland series. In ODI rankings, Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq hold the first and third positions, respectively. Virat Kohli (ninth) and captain Rohit Sharma (11th) of India retain their positions as mainstays in ODI rankings. In Test rankings, India’s spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja maintain their positions as the world’s top-ranked bowler and all-rounder, respectively.
