The 2023 Zozo Championship, scheduled to take place from October 19-22 at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Chiba, Japan, will feature a lineup of renowned golfers, including Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa, and Xander Schauffele. These three accomplished players, with a combined total of 18 PGA Tour victories, will headline the tournament, as announced by the tournament officials on Tuesday. Accompanying this trio will be two emerging stars of the PGA Tour, Akshay Bhatia and Min Woo Lee. Rickie Fowler, aged 34, recently ended a four-year title drought by clinching his sixth PGA Tour title at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July. He secured victory in a playoff against Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin at the Detroit Golf Club. Fowler also achieved seven other top-10 finishes, including a second-place finish in last year’s Zozo Championship, where he held the 54-hole lead before finishing one stroke behind the champion, Keegan Bradley. Fowler has qualified for this week’s FedExCup Finale, the Tour Championship, for the first time since 2019. Collin Morikawa has participated in every edition of the Zozo Championship since its inception in 2019. The 26-year-old has claimed victory twice in major championships—the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship—along with three other PGA Tour wins. In the 2022-23 Season, Morikawa secured runner-up positions at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and Rocket Mortgage Classic, and he earned a third-place finish in the Farmers Insurance Open. Xander Schauffele, a seven-time Tour winner and an official member of the 2023 Ryder Cup team after his T8 finish at the BMW Championship, has notched ten top-10 finishes this season.
