Bengaluru’s 280-plus-km Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) is taking shape in phases, with several stretches already operational. The peripheral corridor is designed to connect key growth areas without forcing traffic through central Bengaluru. Operational sections are improving movement between locations while other stretches remain under construction. The network links Hoskote, Anekal, Sarjapur, Doddaballapur, Devanahalli and Nelamangala, creating direct connections between major peripheral corridors. The Hoskote section is in an advanced stage and is expected to strengthen access to surrounding employment and residential hubs. Several completed stretches are progressively being opened, with further operationalisation planned through 2026-27. The expanding network is expected to support faster peripheral travel and improve connectivity between Bengaluru’s emerging growth corridors.
