Govinda Gowda condemns force used against farmers

CH NEWS, GADAG

JDS state spokesperson Venkanagouda R Govinda Gowdra has strongly condemned the state Congress government’s action to forcibly stop the peaceful march led by JDS state youth wing president Nikhil Kumaraswamy with the slogan “Our land is our right”.

The egotistical Chief Minister of this state should understand that the governments that built opposition to the farmers have fallen. The farmers who responded to Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s appeal not to lose patience with the thousands of farmers who were protesting remained silent, enduring the police oppression. Looking at this forcible action by the state government, JDS state spokesperson Venkanagouda R Govinda Gowdra has expressed suspicion that there may be a conspiracy to instigate a rebellion behind this.

While trying to control the thousands of farmers who had gathered, young leaders Nikal Kumaraswamy, Sharanagouda Kandakura, Doddanagouda Patil (Naribola) and the president of the core committee G Krishna Reddy were injured.

The Chief Minister who have practiced oppression and gun violence are practicing the same here too. Venkanagouda R Govinda Gowda has warned that no one is afraid of goon behavior in the face of such big threats. He said that the protest will be held from Freedom Park to Vidhana Soudha on 18th August. Venkanagouda R Govinda Gowda said that the JDS party’s struggle will not stop until the Bidadi Kamakshi project is abandoned.
