More than 10 members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) were detained by police during a protest on Monday, where they demanded the cancellation and re-conduct of the Civil Police Constable recruitment examination over alleged irregularities. The protesters gathered to condemn the alleged mismanagement of the recruitment examination and called on the state government to order a re-examination. As ABVP activists attempted to display posters against the government at the protest site, police intervened and seized the posters, triggering a heated exchange between the protesters and police personnel. As tensions escalated, police moved to detain the demonstrators. A brief scuffle ensued as officers attempted to escort the protesters into police vans, with activists resisting the detention. Police later detained more than 10 ABVP activists and shifted them from the protest site. The protest created a tense atmosphere in the area for some time before the situation was brought under control.
