Pro-Hindu activist Puneeth Kerehalli was arrested by the Kumaraswamy Layout Police on Friday following a complaint accusing him of insulting Muslim clerics. Police said the action was taken after a complaint filed by Abdul Razak, and further investigation into the case is continuing.
According to police, officers visited Kerehalli village in Alur taluk, where Puneeth Kerehalli was staying, and took him into custody. During the arrest, he allegedly criticised the state government and claimed that he had been unfairly targeted.
