Adani Electricity promotes compliance and consumer safety

MUMBAI

Adani Electricity successfully concluded its National Electrical Safety Week, organizing educational workshops across its supply areas to protect local homes and workplaces.

The week-long safety campaign, which ran from June 26 to July 2, focused on the core theme of competency, compliance, and caution. Through various interactive programs, the utility provider reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a highly skilled workforce and encouraging vigilant safety practices among its employees and consumers.

This educational initiative follows massive technical upgrades by the company to safeguard its 3.15 million Mumbai customers from severe monsoon disruptions. Adani Electricity has officially activated its Central Disaster Control Centre, a high-tech hub operating round-the-clock to manage severe weather emergencies. The center utilizes advanced satellite and wireless communication tools, including walkie-talkies, to maintain uninterrupted contact between disaster teams and city authorities.

To ensure swift field responses, the company has strategically deployed seven Quick Response Teams across its vast distribution network. These teams are fully equipped with specialized recovery and restoration plans tailored for heavy rain hazards. Additionally, the company has integrated 98 advanced water level sensors into its digital management system at critical, flood-prone locations. This smart setup allows engineers to monitor rising waters in real-time and safely cut off power before flooding causes electrical accidents. Through these combined efforts of community education and advanced disaster engineering, the leading utility company aims to maintain a highly reliable, incident-free power supply during the challenging monsoon months.
