Baloch activist Sammi Deen Baloch has condemned the life imprisonment of Baloch Yakjehti Committee leaders Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Sibghatullah Shahji, alleging Pakistan is using the judicial system to silence peaceful dissent. She claimed the trial involved irregularities, including jail court hearings and video-link proceedings, and questioned the murder case against the activists. Sammi said the convictions were politically motivated and warned that suppressing peaceful voices while unresolved human rights cases remain could further increase tensions in Balochistan.
