Senior BJP leader Hullur passes away

Senior BJP leader Malleshappa Chennabasappa Hullur, also known as M.C. Hullur (75), passed away on Wednesday, leaving behind a long record of public service and social work in Amminabavi and the surrounding region.

He was closely associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party from its early days and had served as Pradhan of Amminabavi Mandal Panchayat. He also held several positions including President of the Taluka Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee, Director of Sri Gurushanthali Shivacharya Education Foundation, and President of Sri Basaveshwara Temple Trust.

Leaders from different fields expressed condolences on his death. Among them were Dr Veerasomeshwara Jagadguru of Rambhapuri Peetha, senior Shivacharya of Amminabavi Hiremath, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former leaders A.B. Desai, Amrita Desai, Seema Masuti, and Congress leaders Tavanappa Ashtagi and Shivalila Vinaya Kulkarni, along with many others.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. His last rites were performed at Amminabavi Rudrabhoomi on Wednesday evening with family members, supporters, and villagers paying their final respects to the respected leader who served the community for decades.
