Ullal police have arrested an accused in a narcotics case who had been absconding since 2021 after being released on bail. The accused, Fazal (31) from Uppala in Kasargod district, was wanted in a case registered under the NDPS Act at Ullal police station. He had failed to appear before the court after his release and had been evading arrest for several years. Acting on information, police traced him to his residence and arrested him on June 9. He was later produced before the Mangaluru district court, which remanded him to judicial custody for further proceedings in the case.
