After a video of two-wheelers parked in a public place being damaged by being hit with a stick went viral, the VV Puram police station, which had registered a suo motu case, arrested three accused.
The real story of the hooliganism came to light during interrogation.
On the morning of May 20, in Venkatappa Galli under VV Puram police station limits, accused Abhishek, Puneeth and Umesh had damaged two-wheelers parked in public by hitting them with sticks. During this, they had blocked the bike rider Vignesh and abused him with abusive words. The incident was captured on CCTV.
Following the video going viral on social media, the police registered a spontaneous case and arrested the accused. When they were questioned, it was revealed that Abhishek had conspired with his accomplices to threaten his brother’s wife. Police said that two separate cases have been registered and the investigation is ongoing.
His brother’s wife has filed a complaint against the accused Abhishek, accusing him of assaulting her. Based on this complaint, the V.V. Puram police have registered a case. The complainant woman fell in love with the accused’s brother Rahul and married him six years ago and lives with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law in Parvatipura with two children. However, due to a family dispute between the couple, her husband Rahul left her a month ago. The woman had earlier filed a complaint against her husband, alleging that he assaulted her.
On the other hand, on the evening of May 19, after seeing that his brother Rahul had not come home, accused Abhishek had lashed out at the woman. He had shouted that you were the reason for ruining my brother’s life, and that you were not coming home after filing a complaint against him. That is why you should not be at home, Abhishek had shouted. He had abused her with abusive words and attacked her. To scare her, on May 20, he had gathered his associates and damaged parked vehicles with deadly weapons.
