Padma Shri awardee Bharat Bhushan on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he called a major transformation in India during the past 12 years of governance. He said development, cultural revival and India’s rising global image show clear progress under the Modi government. He said development is visible in infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and India’s global standing. He added that people continue to support the government because they judge it by performance. He highlighted India’s achievements in space research, road connectivity and healthcare expansion. He said Prime Minister Modi helped take yoga to the global stage. He said yoga has become a symbol of unity, trust and healthy living worldwide. He said India is now seen as a source of hope during global crises.
He mentioned India’s role during Covid-19 and vaccine outreach to other countries. He praised government focus on Swadeshi and natural farming for self-reliance. He said India once prospered through self-reliance and should continue this path. He appreciated recognition of grassroots workers through Padma awards. He said hidden contributors in society deserve honour and respect. He said Digital India, Ujjwala and Make in India have empowered citizens. He said India’s digital growth is among the largest in the world.
He praised India’s strong military response and global resolve, lauded PM Modi’s unifying leadership, wished him good health, and said India is advancing with confidence, self-reliance and global respect.
