Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has urged people to take precautions as the India Meteorological Department warned of severe heatwave conditions across several districts. He directed officials to ensure drinking water supply, ORS availability and uninterrupted electricity. Health departments were asked to treat sunstroke patients effectively, while local bodies were told to set up free drinking water centres. Residents have been advised to avoid outdoor movement during peak afternoon hours. IMD forecasts heatwave conditions in multiple districts over the next five days. Several areas have already recorded temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius, with extreme heat reported across northern Telangana districts.
