Google has introduced a new feature allowing users in India to store Aadhaar verifiable credentials in Google Wallet for secure identity checks. The service, developed with UIDAI, lets users share only required details when needed. It can be used for age proof, online services, and applications. Partners include PVR INOX, BharatMatrimony, and Atlys, offering easier verification and access. Officials said the feature focuses on privacy and security. More services are expected soon. The move is part of Google’s global push to expand digital identity tools, making everyday verification faster, simpler, and more convenient for users across platforms.
