The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the rescheduling of the recruitment examination for various vacant posts in the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC).

According to officials, the examination, which was initially planned for April 9, will now be conducted on April 10 to avoid any clash with the polling process. The KEA stated that this move is aimed at ensuring smooth conduct of both the elections and the recruitment examination, without causing inconvenience to candidates or administrative authorities. The decision comes in light of the by-elections scheduled for two Assembly constituencies on April 9.
The recruitment drive is being held to fill a total of 33 vacant posts within the NWKRTC. The written examination will take place at designated centers in Bengaluru and Dharwad. Authorities have confirmed that necessary arrangements are being made at both locations to facilitate candidates appearing for the test.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna informed that admit cards for the examination will be released shortly. Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets once available and strictly follow the revised schedule while appearing for the examination.
He further revealed that approximately 2,500 candidates have applied for these posts, reflecting significant interest in the recruitment process. With a large number of applicants expected to appear, the authority has emphasized adherence to guidelines and timely reporting at examination centers.
The rescheduling ensures that candidates are not forced to choose between participating in the democratic process and attending the examination. Officials have urged applicants to stay updated through official notifications and prepare accordingly for the revised exam date.
