Bengaluru South Municipal Corporation Commissioneri KN Ramesh chaired a meeting on Thursday with the officials of the health department of the corporation in the city limits to prepare for the Pulse Polio campaign.
They discussed the readiness of the Pulse Polio vaccination program to be held from December 21 to December 24.
Speaking after releasing the necessary banners and pamphlets for public awareness about the vaccination program, the Commissioner said that the total population of Bangalore South Municipal Corporation is 21,94,946 and the target is to vaccinate a total of 2,23,607 children under the age of 5 years during the campaign.
On the first day, 21.12.2025, there will be booth activity, where children will be vaccinated in a total of 688 booths, and then for 3 days, i.e. from December 21 to December 24, the team will visit houses and organize a programme to vaccinate children.
He said that 60 transit teams have been formed to vaccinate children in areas such as malls, cinema halls, religious places, function halls, etc., and 75 mobile teams have been formed for children in apartments and high-risk areas.
Additional Commissioner Shri Rachappa, Health Officer Balasunder and others were present on this occasion.
