In a significant outcome for Karnataka cricket administration, Venkatesh Prasad has been elected president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), while Legislative Council MLA and State BJP Secretary D.S. Arun achieved a landslide victory as the convenor of the Shivamogga division.

The final results of the KSCA elections confirmed Arun’s new role as both the Shimoga Zone Convenor and Director of the association. Following his victory, Arun expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported him, acknowledging individuals who contributed both directly and indirectly to his campaign.

Arun outlined a series of ambitious goals aimed at strengthening cricketing activities in the Shivamogga zone. He emphasized his commitment to enhancing cricket development programs, improving training facilities, and identifying and nurturing emerging talent. Ensuring a transparent and efficient selection process will be a top priority, he said, along with better coordination of matches and tournaments across the region.

He further highlighted the importance of infrastructure upgrades to support budding cricketers and reiterated the need for discipline and strict adherence to rules and regulations within the cricketing ecosystem.

With renewed leadership at the KSCA and strong mandates for both Prasad and Arun, expectations are high for meaningful changes and structured development in Karnataka’s cricket landscape.
