Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has said that his ministry is ready to expand Iran’s economic and trade relations, especially with neighbouring countries. Local media reported on Thursday that Araghchi made these remarks during a meeting with a group of lawmakers, where he discussed regional and global developments and highlighted ongoing diplomatic efforts to protect Iran’s national interests.
Araghchi underlined the need for strong cooperation between Iran’s Foreign Ministry and the Parliament to help the country meet its diplomatic goals. He said this coordination is important for strengthening Iran’s position in the region.
Earlier this week, Araghchi also spoke about the Foreign Ministry’s work to defend the rights and interests of Iran, he said maintaining national unity is essential for overcoming threats from what he called Iran’s enemies.
He noted that Iran’s response to attacks by Israel and the United States marked an important moment in the country’s recent history. He praised the determination of the Iranian people in resisting foreign pressure and refusing what he called “illegitimate and excessive” demands.
Araghchi said Iran’s recent achievements were made possible by the leadership of the Leader of the Revolution, the commitment of the Armed Forces, and the unity of the people. He described these as key factors in achieving what he called a historic victory for the nation.
The minister also stressed the importance of strengthening Iran’s overall national power. He highlighted the need to improve defence capabilities, support social unity, and tackle economic challenges. Araghchi said the government is working to ease the country’s economic problems and improve stability for its citizens.
