Actor Nora Fatehi has strongly denied reports linking her to drug-fuelled rave parties allegedly connected to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim. Calling the claims “lies,” she said she was being used as an “easy target” once again.
Nora reacted on Instagram Stories on Sunday, saying she does not attend parties at all. “I’m constantly on flights. I’m a workaholic with no personal life. On my off days, I’m at home, on a beach in Dubai, or with my school friends,” she wrote. She added that she spends all her time working on her dreams and has no connection to the people mentioned in the reports.
The actor urged fans not to trust the rumours. “Don’t believe anything you read! My name is an easy target. You tried to destroy me with lies once before and it didn’t work,” she said, recalling how she stayed silent when earlier attempts were made to smear her reputation.
Nora ended her note by warning against using her name or image for unrelated controversies. “Please refrain from using my name and image in situations that have absolutely nothing to do with me. This will come with a heavy price!” she wrote.
The controversy began after reports claimed Nora, Shraddha Kapoor and others attended rave parties organised by detained drug trafficker Mohammed Salim Shaikh. Police say he claimed the events were also attended by Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew. Shaikh is currently in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Cell, which has not ruled out questioning the celebrities named.
