The inauguration ceremony of the new central office of the Damanit Sena Samiti was held at the Grand Majestic Mall in front of the Gubbi Veeranna Theatre in Gandhinagar Assembly constituency.
Housing, Waqf and Minority Welfare Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan and Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Naseer Ahmed attended the ceremony and inaugurated the programme by offering flowers to Ambedkar’s portrait and lighting lamps.
Later, Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan spoke and said that today, the office of the Damanit Sena Samiti has been started under the leadership of Govinda Raj as a voice for the poor, the exploited and the Dalits. It is a great pleasure for me to come and inaugurate this office. The founding president and my close friend Govinda Raj has been known for a long time. He has come forward to fight for justice for the poor and the backward classes when injustice is done and is working day and night for their upliftment and empowerment. He wished them more success in their struggle in the coming days. He also said that my cooperation will always be with you and your association.
The programme was attended by the founding president Govindaraj, the State President of the women’s unit, G Pavithra, State President Suresh, the President of the campaign committee, Mahadevappa Malammanavar, the state Organizing Secretary Basavaraj Kalvihalli, the youth unit Harish, and the office bearers of the army committee from all the district centers of the state.
