Residents of Khadak Galli submitted a petition to the City Police commissioner, demanding that the real culprits be arrested in the recent stone-pelting incident during Urus in the city’s Khadak Galli and that Hindu-Muslim harmony be maintained.
“We have not opposed the Urus procession. The Urus, which had not been on the streets for so many years, has suddenly come, causing confusion. Also, some people have shouted provocative slogans. They have also pelted stones. The police should arrest the real culprits,” he appealed.
Responding to this, Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase said, no action has been taken against the innocent. The evidence is being examined and an inquiry is being conducted. People should not believe the speculations on social media. Peace should be maintained.

The portraits of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar, and Channaraja Hattiholi have disappeared from its banner. Therefore, we have boycotted the campaign and protested, the fans said.
Congress workers tore down the banners as they were protesting. The protest was later called off.
