Police Reunite Haryana Youth with Family After Locals Spot Him

Kundapura

In a resolution to a cross-state missing persons’ case, Gangolli police in Udupi district successfully traced a 22-year-old man from Haryana and reunited him with his family.

Shivam, hailing from Yamunanagar in Haryana, had vanished from his residence recently, prompting authorities there to file a formal report and launch a search.

Shivam had inadvertently joined a train carrying a group of young locals from Trasi, a coastal village under Gangolli police jurisdiction. Upon recognizing him from circulated alerts about missing individuals, the group promptly notified officers, providing crucial leads.

Gangolli Police Inspector Pavan Nayak, along with Crime PSI Sunil, Head Constable Chandra, and supporting team members, verified the details and reached out to Shivam’s parents to confirm his identity and well-being.

The Haryana family, acting without delay, boarded a flight to Mangaluru and proceeded to the Gangolli station. There, in an emotional handover, officers formally transferred Shivam into their care, closing the chapter on his unexpected disappearance.

The parents, visibly moved, extended their deepest thanks to the police force and the Trasi community for their prompt and collaborative response, which turned a potential crisis into a story of relief and gratitude.
