Vehicle Carrying Beef Set on Fire

In Ainapur town of Kagawad taluk, a vehicle transporting meat was set ablaze late Monday night. The vehicle, carrying meat from Kudachi in Raibagh taluk en route to Hyderabad, was stopped by activists who suspected it contained beef and set it on fire. Authorities are currently probing to identify the organization behind the activists.

By the time police reached the scene, the vehicle was completely destroyed. Responding to the incident, Superintendent of Police Dr. Bhimashankar Guleda stated that two cases have been registered in connection with the event. Three individuals have been arrested under the Cow Slaughter Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, with the primary accused apprehended in Kalaburagi. Additionally, five people have been detained for their involvement in setting the lorry on fire, and their roles in the incident are still under investigation.
