Chris Lynn commits full BBL season to Strikers

New Delhi

Power-hitter Chris Lynn has signed a full-season deal with the Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL), marking his fourth straight year with the team. This will be Lynn’s first uninterrupted season, as previous campaigns were cut short due to other league commitments and injury.

The 35-year-old recently smashed an unbeaten 108 off just 51 balls for Hampshire in England’s T20 Blast semi-final, showcasing the explosive form he brings into BBL|15. “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Adelaide Oval and helping the team go deep into finals this year,” Lynn said.

Previously, Lynn missed full seasons due to his ILT20 commitments and a hamstring injury that limited him to just seven matches last year. With the ILT20 now moved to early December, players like Lynn can now commit to the BBL in full.

Strikers coach Tim Paine welcomed Lynn’s return, praising both his batting and leadership. The team has also added Jason Sangha, Mackenzie Harvey, and England all-rounder Jamie Overton, who will skip red-ball cricket this season.

The Strikers begin their campaign on December 17 and are hopeful Lynn’s experience will boost their chances in the finals.
