The Chikkamagaluru Police have announced the installation of CCTV cameras along National Highway-173 in Sakharayapatna. The initiative, undertaken with the support of the local Gram Panchayat, aims to enhance public safety, improve traffic management, and deter criminal activities in the area.
The newly installed cameras, visible on a monitoring screen displaying multiple live feeds, cover key sections of the highway. The footage showcases bustling streets and local businesses in the vicinity, indicating the cameras’ strategic placement in high-traffic zones. The cameras are setup on a pole, equipped with multiple lenses to ensure comprehensive coverage.
According to the official statement, the installation is part of a broader effort to strengthen security and ensure the well-being of the community. The Chikkamagaluru Police emphasized that the CCTV system will play a crucial role in preventing crime and maintaining order along this vital highway stretch.
