Seventy-five silver coins were unearthed during the demolition of a house in the Lodheshwar Mahadeva area of Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Friday. The coins were discovered in an earthen pot at the residence of Jai Narayan Gupta on Thursday evening.
According to workers present, the discovery sparked a clash among labourers as soon as the coins came to light. The dispute quickly escalated, leading to chaos and attracting a crowd of onlookers. Police personnel, led by Mahadeva outpost in-charge Abhinandan Pandey, rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control.
