MLA H.A. Ikbal Hussen said he is working as a “son of the people” using the authority entrusted to him, aiming to resolve local issues and fulfill the promises made to his constituents. Speaking at a public outreach meeting in Kempanahalli village under Mayaganhalli Gram Panchayat on Wednesday, he highlighted various government-funded projects undertaken to provide essential infrastructure across the town and surrounding villages.

Hussen assured residents that grievances would be addressed on-site in consultation with officials. He also stated that the last two months’ funds under the Griha Lakshmi scheme would be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by next week.

For the homeless, 250 acres of land have been identified in the constituency, with layout development already in progress. The MLA emphasized that issues would be resolved in coordination with Tahsildar, PDO, and village accountants.

Villagers raised concerns regarding roads, drains, housing projects, drinking water, elephant encroachments, railway overbridges, speed control measures for crusher trucks, and public facilities including Ambedkar Bhavan and the local library. Women submitted applications regarding old-age pensions and housing assistance.

The meeting was attended by District President of the Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee K. Raju, Chairman of Ramanagara Urban Development Authority A.B. Ranjith, village members Srinivas, leaders Revanna, Manjunath, Shivalingayya, Raghu, Ramayya, Basavaraju, Venkatesh, former Youth Congress president Guruprasad, and other officials including the PDO.
