“Justice is the foundation of a healthy and prosperous society, and standing for truth is the highest form of righteousness,” said renowned speaker Lala Hussain Kandagal.
He was addressing a Seerat lecture organized on Saturday at Eden Garden Function Hall by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind as part of the ‘Nyayada Harikaar Paigambar’ campaign. Referring to the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, Kandagal explained that a society without justice is prone to disorder and chaos. He emphasized that in Islam, justice holds a special status, and individuals must let truth guide their actions, irrespective of family ties or social connections.
Kandagal further stated that while parents are considered gateways to heaven, in matters of justice, truth comes first. Children have a duty to uphold truth at all times. Quoting the Prophet, he said, “If you love caste, no one will support you; if you love humanity, everyone will stand with you.” He also highlighted the continued relevance of the Prophet’s principles, including protecting workers, orphans, and the poor.
Shantaveer Guru Muragharajendra Mahaswami blessed the event and urged participants to maintain religious harmony and uphold moral values.
The lecture was attended by notable dignitaries, including City Council President Lalita M. Anapoor, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Yadgir District President Salahuddin Jaghirdar, District Coordinator Amjad Hussain, Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha District President Channappa Gowda Mosambi, Tanzimul Musleminal Baitul Mall President Ghulam Samadani Musa, Karnataka State Council for Scientific Research District President Gundappa Kalaburagi, DSS District Coordinator Mareppa Chatterkar, and other social leaders.
