As part of the National Democracy Day celebrations, a group of ten bikers from Bidar district embarked on a journey to participate in a special bike rally organized in Bengaluru, the state capital. The rally was officially flagged off by District Commissioner Shilpa Sharma, marking the beginning of this awareness ride.

The event was jointly organized by the District Administration, District Panchayat, and the Social Welfare Department. The flag-off ceremony took place at Ambedkar Circle in the city, where DC Shilpa Sharma waved the green flag, sending the bikers on their way. The initiative aims to promote the values of democracy and civic responsibility among citizens while showcasing community participation in such national events.

The bikers are scheduled to reach Bengaluru by the evening of September 14. Upon arrival, they will participate in the special programs planned for September 15, which are part of the International Democracy Day celebrations. These programs include awareness drives, cultural events, and public gatherings to highlight the importance of democratic values and citizen engagement in governance. This initiative reflects the district administration’s efforts to actively involve citizens, especially youth, in promoting democracy and spreading awareness about their rights and responsibilities. By taking part in this rally, the bikers are not only representing Bidar district but also contributing to a wider movement that celebrates the democratic spirit of the nation.
