A unanimous decision has been made to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Taluk Shepherds’ Association and to felicitate Sanghjivi Fakirappa Hebasura on September 20, said former MLA and honorary Chairman of the Silver Jubilee Committee, Dr. Patil. He made this announcement while presiding over a preliminary meeting at the Devaraja Urs Hostel in the city.
Dr. Patil expressed pride that many ministers and dignitaries, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, will participate in the programme and urged everyone to organize the event on a grand scale. He said that the celebration of a book published in honor of Sanghjivi Fakirappa Hebasura’s lifetime achievements further heightened his excitement, noting that Hebasura is a significant asset not only to the Kuruba community but also to the district.
Rudranna Gulaguli, President of the state unit of Halumatha Mahasabha, lauded Hebasura for organizing the Kuruba community, establishing permanent settlements, and celebrating its silver jubilee, calling the felicitation ceremony a fitting tribute to his lifetime accomplishments.
Former Zilla Panchayat President Vasanna Kuradagi, businessman Prakash Kari, and State Director Channamma Hulakannavara also spoke. Shashidhar Rolli, Secretary of the Rajat Mahotsav Committee, noted that a Jyoti Yatra, led by the youth wing, will travel from Kaginele to Gadugini, arriving on September 20. State Director of Kuruba Sangh Kalakanagowda Gowdra and leaders Somakattimath and Suresha Koppada were present.
