Pan-India film “45” set for Christmas release

The much-awaited Kannada Pan-India film “45”, featuring Karunad Chakravarthy Shivarajkumar, Real Star Upendra, and Raj B Shetty, will now release on December 25. Directed by music composer Arjun Janya in his directorial debut and produced by Ramesh Reddy under Sooraj Productions, the film was originally scheduled for August 15 but was postponed due to incomplete visual effects work.

Speaking at a press conference, director Arjun Janya explained that nearly 40% of the film involves computer graphics. The VFX is being handled by Hollywood experts at MARZ, a Canadian company known for high-quality digital effects. “Our aim is to give audiences a film worth remembering. Even if it takes longer, the wait will be worth it,” Janya said. He thanked Shivarajkumar, Upendra, Raj B Shetty, and producer Ramesh Reddy for their support.

Producer Ramesh Reddy highlighted that this is the first Kannada film MARZ is working on, making it a milestone for the industry. He added that the VFX team, led by Yash Gowda from Mysuru, is working tirelessly to ensure the film’s quality. “The story demands heavy graphics, and we are leaving no stone unturned. This will be a landmark film in terms of scale and visual effects,” Reddy said.

The December 25 release date was chosen to coincide with Christmas holidays, allowing families to enjoy the film together. Distribution talks are also underway, with Telugu’s Maithri Movie Makers showing interest.

Both the director and producer assured fans that “45” will deliver a powerful cinematic experience and will not disappoint audiences.
