‘Chiyaan 61’ to be titled ‘Maidhaanam’

Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in ‘Mahaan’ and the action drama received good reviews from both audiences and critics. Vikram is next set to join hands with Pa Ranjith in his 61st film, and the official announcement was made a couple of months back. Vikram will be playing a versatile role in his film with Pa Ranjith, and the film is reported to be a sports drama based on traditional body-building in Tamil Nadu. The makers have reportedly locked ‘Maidhaanam’ as the title as the film involves a playground.
Vikram will undertake a few training skills to match his role in the film, and the shooting is planned to begin soon. The film’s title is expected to be launched on Vikram’s birthday which is just days away. The shooting of ‘Chiyaan 61’ will be happening across locations in Tamil Nadu, and the pre-production work is underway to have a steady start.
Meanwhile, ‘Chiyaan 61’ is going to be the second sports drama from Pa Ranjith after the successful boxing drama ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ starring Arya, and the expectations are high from the director. Pa Ranjith is currently working on the post-production work of ‘Natchathiram Nagargirathu’ starring Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles.
On the other hand, Vikram has finished shooting for ‘Cobra’ and ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
