Tilakananda Poojary, also known as Prashanth Poojary (33), a resident of Arbi Mane, Bajattur village in Uppinangady, passed away under suspicious circumstances in Dubai last week. His mortal remains arrived in his native village after overcoming legal and administrative hurdles.
Prashanth, an entrepreneur based in Dubai, reportedly died under mysterious circumstances, prompting concerns among his family and friends. The process of repatriating his body to India faced delays due to legal formalities.
A group of youths, led by Samad Birali from Dakshina Kannada, intervened to assist the family. They prepared the necessary documentation, coordinated with Dubai authorities, and secured the required permissions for the body to be sent back to India.
Prashanth’s body arrived at the airport and was subsequently brought to Bajattur village, where relatives and local residents gathered to receive him. The incident has deeply affected the community, highlighting the challenges faced by migrant workers and entrepreneurs abroad.
The deceased is survived by his father, mother, brother, and sister. Local authorities and family members have urged a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death in Dubai.
