Anees Bazmee on working with Tabu in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

In last 30 years, Anees Bazmee has worked with the who’s who of Bollywood. From Salman Khan to Akshay Kumar to Anil Kapoor he has worked with most of the senior actors of the B-Town. To his surprise, he couldn’t get an opportunity to work with Tabu and finally it was in his upcoming film he got to team up with the actress.
It is in Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 that Anees got to direct Tabu.About his experience working with the actor, Anees says, “Tabu is a very gifted and talented actor. I have been her fan. It is unfortunate that we didn’t get a chance to work with each other for so long, until now. However, on the personal front, hamari dosti hameesha rahi hai. We used to always meet and talk. There has been a mutual respect between each other.”
The filmmaker says that the two have been talking and willing to work with each other since long and finally when he narrated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to her, she excitedly got on board. “I think she has done a fantastic job in the film,” he says. Bazmee who’s known for making comedy films, in an earlier chat with BT opened up about making a horror comedy for the first time. He had said, “Comedy bohot baar ki hai, horror comedy first time kar raha hoon with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. I have always taken comedy very seriously. I see comedy in tragedy and I have put out such circumstances in my films. Dukh hota hai aur dukh ki jab intehaan hoti hai tab comedy hoti hai. The kind of response I get for comedy, I hope I get for horror comedy too.”
