A 28-year-old female police constable has lodged a rape complaint against a fellow police constable, alleging that he raped her under false pretenses of marriage. According to the complaint, the accused, who is around 30 years old, and the victim had been in a relationship since 2018. The incident in question occurred in June 2018 when the victim was alone at her residence. The accused allegedly raped her and subsequently promised to marry her after discussing it with his parents. However, he later reneged on his promise and took her to different hotels, where their physical relationship continued. In a distressing turn of events, the victim stated that she was coerced into taking abortion pills by the accused when she became pregnant. The accused claimed that his parents were opposed to their marriage. On June 16, the victim attempted to contact the accused’s parents to discuss the marriage, but her calls went unanswered. When she confronted the accused about this, he reportedly assaulted her with a stick. Following the incident, the woman lodged a complaint at a police station in the south-east division. It is worth noting that both the victim and the accused were previously stationed at the same traffic police station in the South East Traffic Sub-Division. The victim, a female police constable, sought medical treatment at a hospital in Bommasandra for her injuries. The case is under investigation, and authorities are diligently working to gather evidence and bring justice to the victim.
